Fabtech Sterling Building Technology recently invited 20 journalists from various media across the country to Manila, Philippines, to give them a first-hand experience of Fabtech Plaswall^TM, right from its technology and technique to its advantages. The Indian media were indeed surprised to witness a meager 15-odd labourers fussing around at the workshop. At the workshop, no noisy drill and messy floors - labour were effortlessly working on prefabricated fibrocement formwork that would be used as wall with braces supporting the concreting. Mark Taylor, Chairman and Operation director, Sterling Construction and Development Corporation said, "We need considerably lesser manpower for construction. The skilled labour too is reduced. And if you feel that the technique is architecturally limited, you have another think coming."

Over the last 10 years Sterling construction and development corporation built many dramatic building even circular ones. Mark Taylor's own home in Manila bears testimony to it. Tastefully conceptualized, the media found it a visual treat.  Later they visited the site where 900 villas are actually built and completed within one year. 

The media also went on crash sightseeing trip, during the day… and night. “To sum up, it was quite an insightful and delightful trip for all of us,” quipped one travel-weary scribe as a goodbye at the Mumbai airport.
